Two can play this game. After Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries after only 72 days of marriage, the NBA star is seeking an annulment from his reality star wife based on fraud, according to People.
"There's a clear conflict if one spouse is seeking a divorce, but the other wants an annulment," family law attorney Scott Weston, told People. "A judge will have to decide which to allow, which could take many months."
A source also told People that Kardashian was similarly seeking an annulment before her attorneys led her to file for divorce instead. Does Kardashian's initial leaning to and Humphries' filing for annulment mean that their marriage really was a sham?
According to California law, Humphries may have a win in his corner if he can prove that the couple's 72-day marriage was never legitimate. Humphries' filing also details that if an annulment is not granted, he will move for a legal separation rather than divorce.
Although Kim and Kris' differences in legal action could result in some real courtroom drama, there was good news that came out of the Kardashian empire today. Kim's older sister, Kourtney, announced that she is pregnant with her second child.
