Wine Tasting: Tips From the RoamingBoomers

According to the US Wine Market Council, the U.S. per capita consumption of wine reached 3.04 gallons in 2010 with an annual production of 71 million cases. To put that in laymen's: wine is quickly becoming as American as apple pie.

But if you've ever felt a little out of place at a dinner party or social event regarding the proper way to taste and evaluate a glass of wine, the good news is you're not alone.

Thankfully our friends Carol and David Porter, the audacious travelers behind, recently returned from a 10-day wine-tasting tour through Napa Valley and Paso Robles and with the help of John Teeling, hospitality manager at Calcareous Vineyard, they've brought back a video detailing the proper way to conduct yourself as a certified oenophile.
