'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close' Premieres In New York City (PHOTOS)

Sandra Bullock, Tom Hanks, and 13-year-old "Jeopardy!" Kids Week champion Thomas Horn stepped out in their best at last night's "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" premiere at New York City's Ziegfeld Theatre.

Based on Jonathan Safran Foer's post-9/11 novel, "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" tells the story of a boy (Horn) struggling to accept the death of his father (Hanks) who died in the twin towers on September 11th. Horn, who plays Bullock's son, told Access Hollywood that Bullock did her best to make him feel comfortable on set. "She would always give me encouragement," he said.

Also gracing the red carpet were their co-stars Viola Davis, Jeffrey Wright, and Max Von Sydow.
