Iris Apfel has been busy. Between designing her own HSN jewelry line and becoming the subject of Albert Maysles's latest doc, the spry nonagenarian is now collaborating with MAC Cosmetics on a makeup collection.
A little backstory: The Queens-born native made a living, working alongside her husband, in interior decoration and textiles. Together they worked on numerous design restoration projects for the White House, including the Truman, Kennedy and Clinton terms. Though these days, the fashion icon is better known for her eccentric style, making cameos in "Bill Cunningham New York" and regular appearances on Ari Seth Cohen's blog (and illustrious member of the Stylelist Network) Advanced Style.
Apfel's collection, which is (unsurprisingly) heavy in the red lipstick department, also includes bright shadows and nail polishes, a brow pencil, mascara and beauty powder. Click through the gallery to see images of the makeup, which hits MAC counters on January 5th.
