Sherri Shepherd Torn Between Lakers Vs. Bulls Season Opener: Love Of The Game

Sherri Shepherd Torn Between Lakers Vs. Bulls Season Opener

In our weekly "Love Of The Game" series, HuffPost Black Voices talks sports with a person of note. This week we caught up with "The View" co-host Sherri Shepherd, who opened up on her thoughts of the NBA beginning its 2011-2012 season on Christmas.

"My son woke me up the day that the lockout was over on Thanksgiving. And he ran, screaming in my room, 'Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, the lockout is over.' So we will be in L.A. for Christmas. I am calling everybody I know trying to get tickets to the Lakers game because I would love to surprise my husband and my son. They're obsessed with basketball... I'm going to put together two jerseys, because I am torn in my loyalty. I am die hard Lakers fan, but those are my Bulls. I'm just so grateful that they came together because my son has been wearing me out. It's hard to explain a lockout to a six-year-old."
