We are happy to present Lulu Chang of Lulu And Your Mom, a blogger that helped build Chictopia.com and just moved from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
Who influences your style?
I love being inspired by my environment. I see a lot of girls that walk around in short, wispy, skirts in the cold and it seems wrong. Coming from Northern California, I still want to be fashionable, but with more utilitarian influences. Things with buckles, straps and insulation.
If you could shop at one store for the rest of your life what would it be?
The Celine pop-up shop in Paris is really nice. It has washed out pink walls and looks totally unfinished. It reminds me of San Francisco, if San Francisco were filled with nice bags and shoes.
Who are your favorite designers?
At the moment - Phoebe Philo and Patrik Ervell, everything is really clean and graphic.
What are the five essentials in your closet?
Denim jacket, Nixon gold watch, washed black jeans, Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses and Celine sandals I got in Shanghai.
Who takes your photographs?
My friend Tim. He's the Art Director for SF Digital Studio and the Creative Director for SOMA Magazine. I'm into what he's into - so we work really well together. He hates it when I don't post pictures because I think my hair looks bad.
What are your interests aside from blogging?
I write, watch movies, make movies via my Flip HD and sit in front of my laptop watching endless amounts of reality television. I also love art. I want to go to Art Basel next year.
Which beauty products can you not live without?
My best friend got me obsessed with beauty. I'm addicted to SKII Facial Treatment Essence, which I use as toner. And Kracie Hadabisei facial masks.
Can you explain the title of your blog?
It was a joke. It's still sort of funny when people take my title seriously.
Describe your perfect outfit
I think the perfect "me" outfit would be an MA-1 bomber and cut-offs.
