Lily Collins In 'Evil Dead' Remake As Mia

Lily Collins To Take On Possessed Drug Addict

Evil queens having nothing on a bunch of possessed kids.

The casting of Fede Alvarez's remake of Sam Raimi's 1981 cult classic "Evil Dead" is officially underway. Lily Collins has reportedly landed the role of Mia, a drug addict holed up in a cabin who tries to detox alongside her nurse and friend, Olivia. Unfortunately, she finds herself with three other kids and an evil book that lets out demons and possess all of them.

While her role in a horror film may stray from her work in films like "The Blind Side" and "Mirror Mirror," Collins is convinced it will all be part of the growing experience. "I like to look back and see what I did and how I can improve," Collins told The Associated Press. "As an actor or actress, you learn more all the time and you can never really say you've reached your potential."

Last year was good to Collins, especially since she got to star in "Abduction" and date her ab-tastic co-star Taylor Lautner. And with the movies "Mirror Mirror," "The English Teacher," and "The Mortal Instruments" all slated for 2012, this year isn't looking too shabby either. Looks like Lily's making Papa Collins proud!

"Evil Dead" is set to be released on April 12, 2013. For more horror, click over to Bloody Disgusting.
