Orange Bowl 2012 Live Updates: Clemson vs. West Virginia

Orange Bowl Live Updates

The 2012 Orange Bowl features two of the top offenses in college football, but neither school has much experience in the BCS. While West Virginia is playing in their third ever BCS bowl, the Clemson Tigers will look to win their first ever appearance in a BCS game.

Clemson opened the season strong, going 8-0 before losing three of the last four games of the regular season. But the Tigers earned a trip to Sun Life Stadium by manhandling of Virginia Tech in the ACC championship Game. Led by quarterback Tahj Boyd and running back Andre Ellington, Clemson averaged 33.6 points and 440.6 per game.

The Mountaineers have plenty of firepower as well. Junior quarterback Geno Smith emerged as a Big East star in 2011, throwing for 3,978 yards, 25 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. With wideouts Stedman Bailey and Tavon Austin, West Virginia certainly will pose some problems for Clemson's 38th ranked pass defense.

Will West Virginia finally win a bowl game after dropping their last two? Or will Clemson win their first BCS bowl in school history?
