Tina Fey Says Alec Baldwin Will Be Back For '30 Rock' Season 7 On 'Letterman' (VIDEO)

UPDATE: NBC programming chief Bob Greenblatt confirmed that, if "30 Rock" is renewed, Alec Baldwin signed on to return for its seventh season, according to Vulture editor Joe Adalian from the Television Critics Association 2012 winter press tour.

Liz and Jack shippers, rejoice! There's even better news than the fact that there's less than a week away until the Season 6 premiere of "30 Rock."

Tina Fey confirmed that will-he-won't-he Alec Baldwin is on board to continue with the series beyond this season, if there is one. "If there is a seventh season and NBC is still a thing, then we'll all be back," she said on "Late Show" (Weeknights, 11:35 p.m. EST on CBS). If "30 Rock" doesn't get a Season 7 for some reason, Letterman said he was open to negotiations about her taking a half-hour of his show to do hers.

Fey also opened up about her co-stars' ability to consistently make headlines. "Our cast does a great job of keeping the show in the news," she said of Tracy Morgan and Baldwin. That's especially beneficial during this long hiatus between the fifth season and the start of the sixth, which was delayed to accommodate Fey's pregnancy. If only they were making headlines for positive things.

Fey did have one grievance with Baldwin over his recent airplane situation, where he got booted from an American Airlines flight for refusing to turn off his phone while playing Words With Friends. "The thing that I was upset about was last spring I said to him, 'Hey, there's this really fun game called Words With Friends,"' she said. "He's never invited me to play him."

"30 Rock" returns for its sixth season on Thurs., Jan. 12 at its new 8 p.m. EST timeslot on NBC. "Late Show" airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. EST on CBS.
