He's tackling counter-culture all over the U.S.!
According to Showblitz, "Country Strong" star Garrett Hedlund is in negotiations to join Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, and John Goodman to take on the 1960's Greenwich Village folk scene in New York City for the latest Coen Brothers film, "Inside Llewyn Davis."
This isn't the only role Hedlund has lined up for this year; he's working (well, if it happens) on the anticipated anime adaptation film "Akira" and just wrapped "On The Road" with Kristen Stewart, based on Jack Kerouac's mostly autobiographical novel chronicling his experiences across the U.S. in the midst of the beat generation.
If Hedlund's career continues on this trajectory, his next stop will likely be the 70's. Here's to hoping he makes disco proud!
