Suze Orman Answers HuffPost College Reader Questions

Suze Orman Answers Your Questions

Are you struggling with the fine print on your loan package? We've brought you the expert herself.

Suze Orman, host of The Suze Orman Show, is a personal finance guru and cable host who has held special programming on student debt.

After joining Arianna Huffington, editor-in-chief and president of the Aol Huffington Post Media Group, in Aol studios for a wide-ranging discussion about her life story this Monday, Orman answered your questions.

Brooke DiSalvo asked, "is there a way to start paying off student loans before you graduate?"

Orman responded that if the loans are unsubsidized, Brooke could "very easily take his extra money and pay off the interest so that when he gets out of college [s]he owes exactly as he borrowed."

Brittany Johnson asked, "Are student loans 'good' debt or 'bad' debt? Is there such a thing as an ideal student loan debt situation to be in?"

Student loan debt, Orman answered, can in fact be good debt. "It depends on how knowledgeable you are about what you want to do with your life and if you have a realistic answer of what it will cost you to live after college," Orman said.

Orman also decried the rising interest rates of private student loans. Watch the video to learn more.
