Miss America 2012: Laura Kaeppeler On Her Aaron Rodgers Shout-Out (VIDEO)

Miss America On Her Aaron Rodgers Shout-Out

Laura Kaeppeler, the 23-year-old former Miss Wisconsin winner, was crowned Miss America 2012 on Saturday night in Las Vegas, taking home a $50,000 college scholarship. Kaeppeler, wearing her championship crown, made an appearance Tuesday on "The Wendy Williams Show" (weekdays on Fox) to rehash how she won the pageant.

Williams first question was about the judges, particularly Kardashian "momager" Kris Jenner. "She was wonderful ... you could tell she was taking it very seriously, she was very focused, very composed the whole time, so you could never really tell what she was thinking," Kaeppeler reported.

Kaeppeler also talked about her shout-out to Aaron Rodgers and her hometown Green Bay Packers. When she was introduced, Kaeppeler took the opportunity to tell Rodgers, the Packers star quarterback, to give her a call. "It has just made so many headlines. It was really just my way of being humorous ... but he hasn't called yet," she lamented. Now that the Packers are eliminated from the NFL playoffs, Rodgers will have more free time to make that happen, although he's reportedly dating his childhood friend Destiny Newton. Even Miss America can't win them all.
