Ex-Adams Softball Coach Sentenced To 1 Year In Jail For Sexual Contact With Teens

A former volunteer Adams High School softball coach was sentenced Thursday to one year in the Oakland County Jail and five years of probation for having sexual contact with two teen-age students, according to reports.

Thomas Dennis Powell, 59, of of Rochester Hills, who was an assistant softball coach at the time, was arrested last March and charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree and one count of delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance.
