American Idol 2012 has officially kicked off, which means that the judges are in that wonderful phase of the show where they tour the country and hold private auditions with all of our nation's most talented future-stars in a not-even-a-little-bit-depressing conference room at the local convention center.
Just kidding, it's the time in the show when they fish out the crazies with horrible voices in an attempt to force viral internet clips, and then find the people with the saddest stories and play uplifting music behind their testimonials for the same reason.
The folks over at "Jimmy Kimmel Live" found a way to take the clips we've been seeing for over a decade now and breathe some new life into them with the help of animal YouTube videos. The segment is called "Idol Or Animal?" and the Kimmel audience has to decide whether the audio clip he plays is the sound of a woman in Cleveland or a Siberian Husky who's excited about an iPad.
It's harder than you'd think.
