Super Bowl MVP Odds: Who Will Win Super Bowl 46's Most Valuable Player Award? (PHOTOS)

Who Will Win Be Named Super Bowl 46 MVP?

Brady. Eli. Gronk. Cruz. JPP. The Law Firm. Ochocinco. Any one of these guys could realistically be holding up the Most Valuable Player Trophy after the Giants and Patriots battle in Super Bowl XLVI. OK, we'll admit that Ochocinco probably won't win it.

Between these two squads, there are three players who have previously been named Super Bowl MVP -- Tom Brady (twice), Deion Branch and Eli Manning. And since four of the last five winners were quarterbacks, it comes as no surprise to see both Brady and Eli have the best odds to win it this year. In fact, a quarterback has won the award 24 times. No other position has more than seven wins.

Even if Eli may have played his way into the same class as his older brother and Brady with a stellar 2011 season, it's the Giants' defense -- specifically New York's monster front four -- that could very well determine the outcome of this game. With Justin Tuck, Jason Pierre-Paul, Osi Umenyiora and Chris Canty, the Giants were able to shutout the Falcons offense, hold Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to 20 points and then limit the 49ers to just a single third-down conversion in the NFC Championship Game. Could such an effort win one of those four horsemen MVP honors in Indy?

Entering this year's game, Baltimore's Ray Lewis and Tampa Bay's Dexter Jackson are the only two defensive players to have won the MVP award in the last 15 years. Will that change after Super Bowl XLVI? Or will Brady earn his third, putting him in a category with just Joe Montana?
