Puppy Bowl 2012: Fumble For The Win!

Puppy Bowl: Most Valuable Puppy!

Forget Eli Manning, Fumble is the real MVP -- Most Valuable Puppy that is!

The spcaLA's chihuahua-terrier mix took home the gold at Animal Planet's 8th annual Puppy Bowl. Fumble was the only pet in attendance from a west coast animal welfare organization.

The bowl was filmed back in October 2011, and the victorious pup has since been adopted by his new family -- east coasters that include his new twelve-year-old pug sibling. Fumble currently lives in Manhattan, and was surely barking up a storm for the New York Giants last night.

For those of you that are more feline-inclined, the Puppy Bowl also featured a kitty halftime show.

The Humane Society estimates that about 4 million dogs and cats are euthanized each year. According to the spcaLA, 25% of shelter dogs are purebred -- so there's really no reason not to adopt.
