Gilt Home: Shop Woody Allen's Midnight In Paris Set

Shop The Props From A Woody Allen Movie

If you love old-timey Paris, or just Paris in general, then you'll love what the flash sale site Gilt Home has coming up. The e-tailer will be offering up movie props from director Woody Allen's Academy Award-nominated film Midnight In Paris in a special sale beginning tomorrow morning.

For those who have not seen the movie, Midnight in Paris is about an American screenwriter in Paris who somehow finds himself magically transported back to the city's 1920s era each evening. So, many of the pieces in the sale will be vintage items from that time period, such as a record album found at a Paris flea market and an old newspaper that was purchased from a shop that focuses on historic publications. And believe it or not, Woody Allen helped choose these items (with his Oscar-nominated production designer Anne Seibel) at the flea market. Of course, other on screen props such as notebooks and replicated sketches will also be part of the sale. Oh, and did we mention that this is the first time Woody Allen has opened up his movie props for a public sale since his big sell-off in the '90s? Yes, it's true.
