Schmidt was obviously excited that he started sleeping with Cece on "New Girl" (Tue., 9 p.m. EST on Fox). As a guy with a history of showing off his various sexual conquests, why wouldn't he want to show her off? She's been practically unattainable since he met her, and she's easily one of the most beautiful women he's ever been with. And she's a model.
But that sense of pride and excitement doesn't go both ways. While Schmidt wanted to scream their exploits from the rooftops, Cece was mortally embarrassed and ashamed of herself for continuing to coming back. It didn't help matters that Schmidt kept being so very Schmidt with her, and yet she kept finding herself drawn to him.
She admitted at a party that she's embarrassed to be seen with him, leaving him in the car while she made a 20 minute appearance inside. But as part of that deal, she agreed to be seen with him in public with him at breakfast the next morning. Just so long as it wasn't with anyone she knows.
When Schmidt gave her a moment of sincerity, telling her why he's so drawn to her, she gave him permission to tell the waitress about them. Instead, Schmidt stood up and announced to the entire restaurant that he's sleeping with her.
