Jamie Oliver's Genius Pancake Formula (VIDEO)

Have you been looking for an easy pancake recipe -- one that doesn't require reading through a cookbook or even a recipe that's taken from the back of a box? Well, you're in luck, because we've got the easiest and most simple pancake recipe you will ever come across by way of Jamie Oliver.

Watch the video above (from one of Jamie's Christmas specials) to see, in fact, how easy it is to make these pancakes. It's so easy that Jamie even turns his daughters into little sous chefs, who measure out the ingredients and mix the batter -- of course Jamie does the pancake frying! The next time your family craves pancakes for breakfast Saturday or Sunday morning, try this easy recipe.

Jamie's formula is simple:

  • 1 cup of self-rising flour
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 egg
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup of any fruit mix-ins you prefer (optional), such as pear, banana, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, etc.

If you don't have self-rising flour, substitute 1 cup all-purpose flour and 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder. Get Jamie Oliver's recipe for pancakes.
