Joel McHale Discusses Working With 'Community' Co-Star Chevy Chase On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (VIDEO)

Joel McHale On The Joys Of Working With Chevy Chase

"Community" fans have been doing the happy dance ever since the NBC schedulers announced they were taking it off the bench, but is there more trouble brewing behind the scenes?

When star Joel McHale stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (Weeknights, 12 a.m. EST on ABC) the host grilled him about the recent controversy involving "Community" creator Dan Harmon and co-star Chevy Chase.

Last Monday Harmon lambasted Chase on Twitter, referring to him as "a d*ck." So, Kimmel wanted to know, what's going on?

For his part, McHale was diplomatic. He said he and Chevy "get along great. He's a legend and an icon as I will -- and he will -- tell you."

Insinuating that the veteran "SNL" alum is not quite caught up with modern technology, McHale joked that if Chevy's mad at him, "he will type me a letter and have a carrier pigeon bring it to me."

"Community" returns Thursday March 15, at 8 p.m. EST on NBC. "Jimmy Kimmel Live" airs Weeknights, 12 a.m. EST on ABC.
