Rick Santorum Has One Day Left To Get On Delaware Ballot

Will Santorum File His Paperwork In Time?

Rick Santorum has until the close of business in Delaware Friday to submit at least 500 signatures to get his name on the primary ballot.

The state's primary is scheduled for April 24 and offers up 17 delegates in a closed, winner-take-all vote.

Radio station WDEL reported that Rep. Ron Paul's (R-Texas) campaign submitted his petitions Thursday afternoon, just one day ahead of the deadline. Paul's campaign brought in 1,100 signatures, more than double the number required.

Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney are both already on the ballot, and Delaware's Elections Commissioner Elaine Manlove told WDEL she expected Santorum's campaign to file before the end of the day Friday.
