A seemingly normal night at a restaurant in Houston, Texas, resulted in a deadly shooting -- all over a karaoke song.
FOX 26 News reports that a 20-something man was shot in the head and killed after singing "Somos Mas Americanos," or "We Are More American", by Mexican band Los Tigres del Norte early Monday morning.
"Apparently the choice of music caused an altercation, which led to the shooting at this location," Sgt. J.J. Wilson of the Houston Police Department’s homicide unit told KHOU-TV.
Witnesses at the location, Ostioneria Mazatlan #2, reported that an argument erupted between the victim and four men, after he finished singing, about his choice of song. A Hispanic man at an adjacent table then stood up and shot the victim, without warning.
"All of a sudden, four people show up and they didn't like what the other guy singing, so they go and shoot him," Mario, an Ostioneria Mazatlan #2 employee, told Fox 26. "It's a really, really terrible thing to happen."
Houston Police report that the shooter and three others fled the scene in a red Chevrolet pickup truck, while two women at the same table drove away in a green Nissan Pathfinder. Authorities are currently looking for the suspect, who is reportedly on the loose.
