Gregory Paul Nesbitt Found Shot To Death Outside Rapper Rick Ross' Miami Gardens House (WATCH)

WATCH: Man Murdered Outside House Owned By Rick Ross

A man was found shot to death early Wednesday morning outside a Miami Gardens home owned by rapper Rick Ross.

Gregory Paul Nesbitt, 39, was shot several times outside the pink 3-bedroom at 3203 NW 181st St, according to NBCMiami.

Ross uses the house as a recording studio, reports the Miami Herald, and was not present at the time of the shooting.

"They do have neighbors that did hear some gunshots," Miami Gardens Police spokesman Sgt. Bill Bamford said. "They are talking to them to see what they heard and when they heard it, and hopefully put the pieces of this puzzle together and find out who killed this man."

Miami-Dade County records show the modest house was purchased for $70,000 under Ross's birth name, William L. Roberts II, in 2010. Though born in Mississippi, Ross was raised in nearby Carol City and even named his first solo album 'Port of Miami' after his adopted hometown.

Records show a 39-year-old Gregory Paul Nesbitt of Miami faced a variety of charges in the late 1980s and 1990s, from cocaine trafficking to grand theft of a motor vehicle to aggravated assault on a first responder. He was released from prison in 2002.

This is a developing story.
