CustomMade Curator: Printer's Drawer Coffee Table

We've come across a good number of unique tables, but this beautiful piece by CustomMade artisan Fred Brandes caught our eye in a big way. Made from an upcycled printer's drawer, this coffee table lets you display small trinkets inside each of the small compartments under a glass surface.

What's a printer's drawer? It's a tray-like drawer that was originally used to store moveable typesets at printing houses. We love how Brandes incorporated the drawer into the table as a showcase for personal objects. And while stamps would have been, well, expected, the seashells are a nice complement to the breezy feel of the white-painted wood frame. There's no doubt that this coffee table would be lovely in a beach house or seaside cottage. But, you can easily give the table your own personal touch by replacing the shells with objects of your choosing, whether it be jewelry or craft supplies, for a truly custom-made look.
