'Intervention' Gets Dangerous As Courtney Lashes Out, Tries To Escape (VIDEO)

'Junkie Princess' Attempts Escape On 'Intervention'

The situation got a little dangerous on "Intervention" (Mon., 10 p.m. EST on A&E) when self-proclaimed "junkie princess" Courtney was confronted with her intervention. She immediately shut down, turned around and left the house, but her sister and her sister's fiance weren't quite so ready to give up on her.

First, her sister Kim tried talking to her, but Courtney said she didn't care, and even went so far as to say that Kim wasn't her family. She thought the friends she'd made on the street prostituting herself to support her habit and the habit of her boyfriend Jeff were her family now, as they supported her drug-filled lifestyle.

While Kim was trying to get through to her, Courtney was calling Jeff to come pick her up. When he arrived, Kim's fiancee Dee tried to intervene, even going so far as to hanging on to the open door of the truck while Jeff started driving away. With Courtney prodding him to go faster, Jeff did so and Courtney warned Dee that he was crazy. Finally, Dee had to let Courtney go.

She hid from her family for two months, but finally agreed to go to treatment because she'd decided that she missed them and knew she couldn't get sober in Miami. But while she made it through detox, she apparently skipped out of the facility shortly thereafter. According to the closing text, she has not contacted her family and hasn't been seen or heard from since. Sometimes, addiction is a beast that simply has too strong of a hold on someone to battle off.
