WASHINGTON -- Organic salad chain Sweetgreen announced Wednesday morning the lineup for the company's annual Sweetlife Festival, which will take place on April 28. This will be the music and food extravaganza's second year at Merriweather Post Pavilion and only the third ever held.
The roster includes Swedish house DJ Avicii, alternative hip hop star Kid Cudi, indie favorites The Shins, Austin rock outfit Explosions in the Sky, indie soul band Fitz and the Tantrums, rapper ASAP Rocky and indie pop group Fun.
Of course, Sweetlife is as much about music as it is about food. José Andrés' new food truck, Pepe, will be on the premises, as will Shake Shack, Brooklyn's Roberta's Pizza (they have a mobile food truck) and Smucker Farms. Honest Tea, Stonyfield, Applegate and KIND Snack will also be in the mix. Naturally, you'll be able to chow down on some Sweetgreen salads as well.
No word yet on how much admission will be, but a limited number of pre-sale tickets will be up for grabs on March 8 at noon, but can only be purchased with a special code that will be made available to fans that "like" Sweetgreen or Sweetlife Festival on Facebook. Tickets go on sale to the general public on March 9 at 10 a.m.
