Will Ferrell Does His Entire 'Kimmel' Interview In Spanish

Will Ferrell always manages to keep his late night interviews interesting, and he did so again with his latest appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (Weeknights, 12 a.m. ET on ABC). Ferrell was on in support of his forthcoming Spanish-language film "Casa de Mi Padre," and so he conducted the entire interview in Spanish ... with helpful subtitles for the home audience.

The film is a comedic and overly dramatized parody of the popular Mexican telenovela format starring Ferrell as Armando Alvarez. But while he plays a Mexican rancher in the film, his co-star Diego Luna wasn't buying it during his interview with Jimmy Kimmel.

After a good Spanish back and forth between Ferrell and Kimmel, during which Ferrell asserted that Spanish was actually the international language of love, Luna stood up in the audience and spoke in English, saying that Ferrell was bringing down his people.

"No matter how much you try, you can't be Mexican," he told Ferrell. "Sorry, sorry. With that pasty white skin, come on! We don't use crazy hair like yours, man!"

Ferrell looked at him solemnly and almost sadly, but then had the perfect comeback. In Spanish he said, "I'm sorry. I don't speak English."

Will Ferrell and Diego Luna star in "Casa de Mi Padre," premiering in theaters nationwide Friday, March 16, 2012. "Jimmy Kimel Live" airs every weeknight at 12 a.m. ET on ABC.
