Sherri Shepherd Refutes 'Dancing With the Stars' Cheating Allegations On 'The View' (VIDEO)

Sherri Shepherd Denies 'DWTS' Cheating Allegations

Sherri Shepherd took to "The View" (weekdays on ABC) to address a report in Radar Online that alleged she'd been "cheating" to get an edge on "Dancing With the Stars" before the show even started. The report claimed that Shepherd had been taking dance lessons with her "DWTS" partner since December.

But as Shepherd pointed out, one crucial aspect of the report was erroneous. "It was incorrectly reported that Maks Chmerkovskiy my dance partner. He's not. His brother Val is my partner. We have never, I say never, danced together," she clarified.

Shepherd then verified the other half of the report, confirming that she had indeed taken dance lessons at Maks' Soho, New York dance studio before she was cast. "I took a handful of classes at Maks' studio, which I'm glad I did, because it showed me if I was up for this challenge of 'Dancing With the Stars' ... But this started long before I started any negotiations with 'Dancing With the Stars.'"
