"Top Chef" host Padma Lakshmi's drawn-out custody battle with ex-boyfriend Adam Dell has finally come to an end, E! Online confirmed on Thursday.
The resolution grants Dell expanded visitation rights and legal recognition of his paternity of their two-year-old daughter, Krishna, who will now carry both Lakshmi's and Dell's last names.
Lakshmi has made peace with the resolution: "[Krishna] just turned 2 years old and she's a beautiful, healthy, happy baby, and I didn't lose anything," she told "Extra" in an interview posted Friday. "There was nothing to lose -- she's a delight and joy."
Dell, a venture capitalist and brother of computer mogul Michael Dell, filed for full custody of the baby in January 2011, claiming that Lakshmi had tried to "minimize, if not eliminate [his] role in Krishna's life."
The former couple dated from November 2007 until September 2009. Lakshmi told Dell she was pregnant after the split, but hesitated to publicly acknowledge him as the father. According to People magazine, Dell cited a DNA test that proved his paternity in the custody battle.
