President Obama doesn't want to mess up "Homeland" Season 2. When Showtime star Damian Lewis attended the White House State Dinner honoring Prime Minister David Cameron on March 14, he said Obama asked him about the hit drama series. Spoiler-phobes needn't worry: Lewis told TV Guide that Obama wasn't after specific details.
"I did sort of joke with him that the creators of the show had asked him to give us a heads up on any foreign policy moves so that we could just stay current with Season 2," Lewis told TV Guide. "And he looked me straight in the eye and said, 'I'll be sure to do that.' Didn't bat an eyelid. I found he had a great sense of humor."
Obama's love for "Homeland" is no secret. He's said he is a fan of the series starring Lewis and Claire Danes, and even ordered DVDs from Showtime. Some of Obama's other TV favorites include "Boardwalk Empire" and "Modern Family."
But when Obama's older daughter Malia is in control of the first family remote, she's tuning in to NBC's "Parks and Recreation."
"Aziz Ansari ... now this is big because Malia is a big 'Parks and Recreation' fan," Obama said at a fundraiser held in March at ABC Kitchen in New York City. "So having Aziz here is like the only thing she thinks is worth me doing ... I just want to say that I have more Twitter followers than you, man."
But when does Obama have time to watch "Homeland"? When Michelle Obama and his daughters, Sasha and Malia, are playing tennis, according to Lewis.
