Justin Bieber Dishes On How To Be A Good Boyfriend

You might scoff at the idea of taking relationship advice from Justin Bieber, but it sounds as if he knows a thing or two about how to keep his girlfriend happy.

The 18-year-old pop star just released "Boyfriend," the first single off his forthcoming album "Believe," and along with a more mature sound comes a newfound wisdom pertaining to matters of the heart.

The song, with lyrics such as "If I was your boyfriend I'd never let you go/I can take you places you ain’t never been before," is a relationship road map, he says. "This is the type of boyfriend I think people should be in general, this is what you should say to your girl," he told Ryan Seacrest on Monday.

In an interview with E! News, he further advised on the intricacies of dating. "To be a great boyfriend you have to have patience and ... you're always wrong when it comes to girls, you're always wrong, so just say sorry when things are rough," he said.

It sounds as if Bieber has had some experience with this in his relationship with girlfriend Selena Gomez.

"It's just about being honest with one another," he told Radio Disney. "You have to be honest, that's the first thing, because if you're not honest then the relationship is just not a good relationship. At the end of the day, your girl would appreciate you being honest more than lying to her and vice versa."

We have to admit that the boyfriend Bieber describes in his song sounds a little too clingy, but the singer is young and, to his credit, he definitely knows how to plan an amazing date.
