Timothy Olyphant Shares Funny Stories About His Kids

Timothy Olyphant is a proud father of three, but veteran parents would be quick to tell him he's just getting into the most challenging years. His daughters are twelve and eight, with a ten-year old son in the middle. Olyphant shared with David Letterman some of the advice he gave his son on "Late Show" (Weeknights, 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS).

Likely, the boy gets pretty frustrated when all of his sisters' friends are hanging around all the time, but Olyphant was quick to point out that this won't always be the case. With a two year difference between him and the girls on each side, Olyphant told him, "Buddy, in a couple years, you're gonna love your older sister's friends. And then a couple years after that, you're gonna love your younger sister's friends."

As for that older sister, she's settling into her classic teenage daughter years. Olyphant said she's started gifting him with the silent treatment, and cold stare of anger.

"Then she just turns and walks out," he said. "Nothing. Then right before she's about to disappear around the corner, I get this." Olyphant mimed turning to look over his should and whispering. "'I hate you.' And then she's gone."

Timothy Olyphant can be seen Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on FX's "Justified." David Letterman and "Late Show" are on weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS.
