Aziz Ansari: Obama 'Acts The Exact Same Way I Would Act If I Was The President' (VIDEO)

WATCH: That Time Obama Shocked Aziz Ansari

Comedian and "Parks and Recreation" star Aziz Ansari stopped by "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" to promote his new self-released stand-up special, "Dangerously Delicious," and while there spoke to Jimmy about one of the most surreal moments of his life: The time he met President Obama, who completely shocked him backstage at an event.

At an Obama fundraiser in early March, Ansari performed stand-up before Obama took the stage. During his speech, the President gave Ansari a shoutout, pointing out that even though Malia is a fan of "Parks and Rec," the President still has more Twitter followers than the comedian.

Ansari recounted what happened when they went backstage, where he was joined by Fallon's house band The Roots, who are vocal Obama supporters (a little too vocal, sometimes). "I'm expecting him to come back and be like, 'Thank you for your time, here's your photo.' This is what happens instead," Ansari then impersonated a high-energy Obama. "'Oh snap, it's The Roots! You guys are like my house band, you guys are at every event!"

Obama then turned to Aziz, and the commander-in-chief was enthusiastic to meet the man known for making fun of his chubby cousin Harris. He recounted the exchange: "'Aziz, what's going on? You blowin' up, man! What're you up to!' And I was like, huh? Why are you talking to me like my little brother Aniz? Don't you have the nuclear codes?"

Ansari seemed both astounded that Obama was so relaxed backstage, realizing that "This dude acts the exact same way I could act if I was president!" He said that he halfway expected Obama to take them all to the club and start spinning some tracks as DJ POTUS.

If Obama is truly anything like Ansari describes, we think that hanging out at an Obama-hosted hip-hop barbeque would be awesome.
