Aleksander Gamme, Norwegian Explorer, Is Incredibly Stoked To Find Cheez Doodles In Antarctica (VIDEO)

WATCH: Explorer's Amazing Reaction After Finding 'Buried Treasure'

This is what happens after 86 days alone in the South Pole.

Aleksander Gamme, a Norwegian Explorer, was on a solo expedition in Antarctica when he came across a treasure that he had left for himself nearly three months earlier.

A chest full of gold? No. A celebratory bottle of his favorite spirit? No. It was a bag of Cheez Doodles, the tubular cheesy puff snack.

This is day 86 on my full return South Pole Expedition 2011/2012. I'm quite hungry and about to pick up my last cache by my second pulk which I left on the way in. As a part of my motivational plan I have on purpose not made notes on what goodies I have left behind in the cache.. and on this last one, I didn't expect very much..

A man claiming to be Gamme hosted an "Ask Me Anything" (AMA) on Reddit, the social sharing site, on Friday. There, he described for Redditors the feeling he had when he found the snack. It was "basicly [sic] amazing," Redditor aleksander_gamme wrote. "I mean, It's hard to describe how hungry you are at this moment.."

According to ExplorersWeb, a mountaineering and adventure news site, Gamme skied from Hercules Inlet to the South Pole and back, tallying a record 2,260 kilometers (1,404 miles). He made the trip solo without the support of airlifted supplies or kites.
