Demi Lovato Falls In Love In New Music Video 'Give Your Heart A Break' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Demi Lovato Falls In Love In New Music Video

Demi Lovato is known for singing songs about heartbreak.

Her 2011 song, “For the Love of A Daughter” was all about her relationship (or lack thereof) with her estranged birth father, and her two other hit songs in 2011, "Fix A Heart' and "Skyscraper" were both about overcoming issues and learning that life is what you make of it. Lovato recorded both songs following a three-month stint in rehab in November 2010 to treat physical and emotional issues, including cutting, bulimia, and bipolar disorder.

But these days, the 19-year-old singer is in a better place and that's reflected in her music. The video for her latest single - a love song entitled "Give Your Heart A Break," which premiered today - is a departure from the songs about heartbreak Demi made so popular last year.

"Last year I began working on a song about a different kind of love," Lovato told MTV News. "It's a song about showing someone you love that you're the one right in front of them. This is a song about faith," she added.

In the new video, Lovato tries to convince a guy she didn't break his heart. "We get into a fight and I try to win him over again," she says. "So I do something special for him at the end of the song."

Lovato, who does a great job pretending to be in love with the hunky guy in her new video, says it’s always hard pretending to be in love with someone.

"I really think the most challenging part of shooting my music video was that I was actually on set for the first time and the director said, ‘OK, you and this guy, you're going to cuddle now,'" the 19-year-old told E! News. "We totally had to look like a real couple five minutes after meeting."

Still, the singer says choosing the hot guys to appear in her videos is one of the things that’s most fun about her job. “I always love doing music videos, because they send me, like, 20 guys, and they're like, 'Pick the cutest one that you want to be your boyfriend'—and I was like, 'This is so awesome."

“Give Your Heart A Break” is the second single off Lovato’s third studio album “Unbroken,” which was released on September 20th, 2011 through her label Hollywood Records. Although originally expected to premiere tonight on E! News, “Give Your Heart A Break,” was leaked yesterday on various websites.
