Nicole Richie looked lovely in yellow last night as she helped fete her father at the "Lionel Richie and Friends in Concert" in Las Vegas.
The 30-year-old designer lit up the stage in a floor length yellow dress with a black floral print as she shared with the audience her love and admiration for her R&B/country crooner dad who adopted the star at the age of nine.
Nicole also donned the cheerful hue at the premiere of "Fashion Star," ABC's fashion competition reality show where she serves as a style mentor.
The concert, which was hosted by the Country Music Awards, featured an impressive lineup of artists from Faith Hill to Marc Anthony--all singing an array of Lionel's hit with the man himself.
Nicole even joined her Dad at the piano to entertain the crowd a bit--although there was no singing on her part.
The mother of two also admitted to that crowd, before introducing her dad to the stage, she wasn't aware the songs she was hearing as a little girl were anything particularly special--until now.
"You probably think growing up as Lionel Richie's daughter, I had some private concerts--and I did," Nicole said. "But the whole time he was singing to me, wearing those sweats with his big mustache and afro, I wasn't listening. I was a toddler, not realizing that I was hearing some of the best songs recorded in the '80s, and this is one of the best." Lionel then came on stage to sing "Easy."
