We are pleased to introduce Stylelist Blogger Network member Kimi Recor of Positive Greater Than Negative. When she isn't blogging, you'll likely find Kimi performing with her band Black Flamingo or selling vintage clothing. Meet the boho babe who can't stop Instagraming photos of her pets:
What’s your one fashion regret?
Not letting my mom pick out my clothes for me after the age of 10. Seriously, my mom knows how to put together a cool outfit.
Who influences your style?
Whoever I'm obsessed with at the moment, people that walk by me on the street and the color black.
If you could shop at one store for the rest of your life what would it be?
The Salvation Army.
What are the five essentials in your closet?
Heeled combat boots, an over sized T-shirt, vintage Swedish Army jacket, silk tap shorts and 1228 pendant necklace.
Why did you start your blog?
So my mom could see what I was up to.
What are your interests aside from blogging?
Music, writing, vegan baking, my boyfriend, my dog and cat, drawing, thrifting and reading.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I'm secretly a really good actress. I just don't have time to get discovered and have a totally amazing film career.
Take a look at 18 of Kimi's latest vintage finds, and continue scrolling to learn more about the blogger:
What is your beauty routine?
Morning: I first wash my face with Black African Soap (ordered from Madame Koiteh). Then I use a toner made of apple cider vinegar and water and add a Vitamin C creme. As for makeup, I use 100% Pure tinted moisturizer, black mascara, and creme blush.
Night: Before I go to bed I wash my face again with African Black Soap. I tone with hydrogen peroxide and three times per week I'll sleep with a layer of Castor Oil. This is good for keeping my skin fresh, plump and wrinkle free.
What are your tips for aspiring bloggers?
Be excited about what you write. I started my blog as a travel diary, and it's morphed into all sorts of things.
Can you explain the title of your blog?
It's a reminder that positivity always conquers negativity. If you're feeling bummed, try doing something nice for someone else. Make "grateful" lists, tell the people you care about how you feel about them. It'll always make you feel better.
Describe your perfect outfit.
I'll never say no to a black, hooded mini-dress.
