Feist's 'Bittersweet Melodies' Video Uses Irina Werning's 'Back To The Future' Photographs (NSFW) (VIDEO)

Watch People Age Instantly In Feist's Latest

It's not often you see a music video without the singer in it. But for Feist's latest Metals video, "Bittersweet Melodies," director Holle Singer ignored Leslie Feist entirely, focusing instead on the many subjects of Argentine photographer Irina Werning's uncanny Back To The Future project. If you've already seen Werning's work, the video is more or less a straight retread. But Werning's collection of old photographs recreated anew by the people who were in them (including one of Billy Bragg and his old punk band Riff Raff re-staging a bus ride) set to Feist's nostalgic lyrics makes for a perfectly lovely, vaguely sad pairing. Check out the video below, which is NSFW due to the grown-up counterparts to shirtless little girls, and head to Werning's site for more Back To The Future photos.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story identified the video director as Hollie Singer, instead of Holle Singer.
