Garfunkel & Oates' 'My Apartment's Very Clean Without You' Gets Animated (VIDEO)

WATCH: Garfunkel And Oates Get Animated

Garfunkel and Oates, the musical comedy duo composed of Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci, has released a video for their song "My Apartment's Very Clean Without You." Although G&O has released plenty of music videos, they've gone the extra mile with this one and enlisted animator Deanna Rooney to make an animated video to accompany the song, a melancholy ode to the pros and cons of a romantic break-up.

As Riki and Kate croon about the unexpectedly happy/sad emotions that come as a result of the lack of dirty socks, Hendrix and strewn-about toothbrushes after a boyfriend moves out, a Greek chorus of cats illustrate the loneliness known by anyone who's dealt with conflicting emotions in the aftermath of a relationship's demise.

The video is the latest off their new album, "Slippery When Moist," which also spawned favorites such as "Save the Rich" and their anti-ode to handjobs.

It only makes sense that G&O would put out an animated video. The two women also have successful careers outside of their musical project: Micucci has a recurring role on "Raising Hope," and Lindhome has made several appearances in TV and film, and hosts a great weekly podcast on the Nerdist network. The two are also developing an HBO series about Garfunkel and Oates.
