John Slattery Says Jon Hamm Can Get 'Ornery' On The Set Of 'Mad Men'

John Slattery didn't reveal any juicy details about the current season of "Mad Men" during his "Late Night" (Weeknights, 12:37 a.m .ET on NBC) visit, but he did talk a little bit about his experiences behind the camera. Slattery has directed several episodes of "Mad Men."

When he's in the director's chair, he laughed that Jon Hamm gets a little "ornery" if you ask him to do a take too many times. According to Slattery, Hamm will say, "Come on, we did it already. Let’s go!"

Tina Fey was still hanging around, and shared in a good laugh about the image. "Don’t make me do too many takes of having sex with these beautiful women," she imagined Hamm saying, as if this would be such a frustrating aspect of his job.

John Slattery can be seen on "Mad Men," Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on AMC, while Tina Fey's "30 Rock" airs at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC Thursdays. "Late Night" is on weeknights at 12:37 a.m. ET on NBC.
