'Coney Island Love Letter' Pays Tribute To The Boardwalk (VIDEO)

WATCH: Super Sweet 'Coney Island Love Letter'

As the iconic wooden planks of Coney Island boardwalk prepare to be ripped out for a very plastic transformation, a touching short is paying tribute to Coney Island's signature character by capturing the charm of the boardwalk in its finest form.

The video, produced by Land of Nod Inc., is set to the tune of Claude Debussy's "Clair de Lune" and provides sunset glimpses of the amusement park's old-school rides (Cyclone included), Nathan's Hot Dogs, the boardwalk's plethora of eccentric residents, and much more.

It's a lovely bit - something of a time capsule to keep, as pols toss around the idea of opening seedy casinos in the area and the place gears up for a dramatic transformation.
