Actor Hugh Grant, 51, recently traded in his traditional romantic roles for something a bit more animated. Grant has loaned his voice to the character of a pirate captain in the animated film "The Pirates! Band of Misfits."

Grant stopped by the "Today" show to discuss his humorous new film and what it was like working with news anchor, Al Roker -- who voices a pirate character who loves kittens.

The actor, a first-time father, talks about how he feels about fatherhood. Grant then reveals his thoughts on giving money to children, and why he won't be signing over a large sum of money to his daughter at 18.
