Australian actor Matthew Newton, 35, has been arrested for the second time in a month in Miami, making his off-screen bad boy antics more famous than his onscreen roles.
In the most recent incident on April 17, Newton was arrested for punching and shoving a clerk at the Courtyard Marriott in Coconut Grove. According to the arrest report, Newton was angry about a call being dropped.

Surveillance video from the hotel showed that after attacking the clerk, Newton sprawled next to his victim on the lobby floor and began rolling around as if he was also in pain.
Barefoot and disheveled, the actor, who starred in "Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities", "Underbelly," "Queen of the Damned," and "Three Blind Mice," was charged with battery and resisting an officer without violence.
Just days ago on April 6, Newton was arrested in Miami and charged with resisting police and trespassing on property after a warning.
The Daily Telegraph reports that he was drinking at Mr. Moe's in the Grove but his belligerent behavior got him kicked out of the bar.
When he refused to leave, police were called and Newton attempted to fight officers, bruising his face in the process.
The star's attorney Chris Murphy is embroiled in a Twitter battle to defend Newton's reputation. He claims the Aussie actor is suffering from mental illness and needs understanding as well as treatment:
Newton is no stranger to legal troubles. In 2010, Australian "Transformers" actress Rachael Taylor took out a restraining order against her then-boyfriend, accusing him of violently assaulting her. As a result, Newton was dropped as host of a new televised talent series.
He pled guilty to assaulting previous girlfriend Brooke Satchwell in 2007 during the couple's breakup, according to the Associated Press, not long after spending 28 days in a Melbourne rehab clinic specializing in drug and alcohol treatment.
