Irina Shayk Talks Body Image: 'Some Extras Kilos' Are Totally Fine (PHOTOS)

Irina Shayk: Don't Worry About Those Few Extra Pounds

Supermodels often seem to have superhuman willpower when it comes to diet and exercise discipline (see: the Victoria's Secret Angels' pre-show regimen). So we're always so happy to hear from a model who approaches diet and exercise with a refreshingly realistic mindset.

You wouldn't know it from looking at her, but 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl Irina Shayk says she's not too strict with herself when it comes to maintaining that figure.

She told the Telegraph at a London event on Tuesday that she does workout before a shoot, but "when I'm on the road I'm taking some little [exercise] equipment with me but guess what? I'm never using it!" Shayk added:

"Even if you have some extra kilos, you don't need to kill yourself for that, you just have to look at yourself as a positive. Yeah extra kilos but guess what? Men love it, you know."

We hear you guffawing, but it can be true: a few curves aren't always a bad thing. Victoria's Secret strutter Anne V recently told Allure, "Like every woman, my dream is to have a Brazilian ass. Maybe it's because I used to do track and field or it's just how my body is built, but with every exercise I do, it goes to my legs. My butt stays small." (And she means that as a bad thing.)

Big butt or small butt, extra kilos or not, the point is this: don't stress! If Irina Shayk The Bikini Model can stay calm about a bit of weight gain, then we regular gals can chill out, too.

Excuse us while we return to our carbs and non-exercise.
