Kanye West Filming Video Project In The Middle East With Rapper Kid Cudi

Is Kanye West In The Middle East?

Kanye West has been spotted filming a music video in the Middle East with fellow G.O.O.D. Music rapper Kid Cudi, THR reports.

The film -- which was shooting in Qatar -- is expected to be a short art piece akin to his 30-minute music video for "Runaway," which served as the lead video off his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album. In February, reports first emerged that West was considering the region for his next video project and scouting possible locations and production partners in Qatar, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Since the project has been kept extremely under wraps, there's no way to tell if West is filming a music video for his latest single "Way Too Cold."

According to THR, West and Kid Cudi were spotted late last week filming in Education City, a spacious complex on the outskirts of Doha, the country’s capital. Residents living close to the complex reported seeing camels and horses on set.

“Kanye conceived the story, which is set in the Gulf," a source close to the project told THR. "It’s supposed to showcase the beauty of the region, a piece that’s culturally sensitive and embraces the customs and traditions of the region.”

However, it appears that West is now back in the States -- and hanging out with his rumored girlfriend Kim Kardashian. The two were spotted holding hands in New York City Monday night.
