Reds Fan Holds Onto Kid While Trying To Catch Home Run Ball (VIDEO)

Reds Fan Tries Catching Home Run While Holding Kid

It seems like fans are making more headlines in baseball than players this week. First, a Tampa Bay Rays fan that turned out to be former NBA center Matt Geiger interfered with a foul ball causing Carlos Pena to miss the catch. A few days after that a couple at a Rangers fan snagged a foul ball and caused the child next to them to hysterically cry. And on Thursday night, a Reds fan attempted to catch a home run ball.. while holding on to his kid.

In the bottom of the sixth with the score tied at two, Jay Bruce crushed a two-run homer to the stands in right-center field. Holding his sleeping child with his right arm, a fan went to catch it with his left hand while his supposed wife took shelter and ducked a few seats away.

The fan did not catch the ball, but at least he didn't drop his kid.
