Theophilus London, Musician, Talks DIY Style And His Fashion Inspirations To StyleLikeU (VIDEO)

WATCH: Theophilus London's Self-Made Style

From his embellished blazers, self-ripped jeans, coveted "LVRS" baseball caps, the occasional man skirt and a collection of Michael Jordan kicks that make him feel like a "rockstar"--hip-hop artist Theophilus London has found a permanent place in the style spotlight.

StyleLikeU.com caught up with London to get the lowdown on his imaginative style. And before you start thinking London's eccentric style comes courtesy of a stylist, think again. The Brooklyn raised rapper prides himself on creating his own image.

When Kanye West calls to tell you that you inspire his style--you must be doing something right.

As true fashion fan, London attends numerous Fashion Weeks shows and even performed this past February at Rebecca Minkoff's Fall 2012 presentation.

Just like some of our other favorite Stylelikeu subjects, London finds inspirations from days gone by. The urban cowboy ensemble he dons on the cover of his “Timez Are Weird These Days" album was a homage to Leon Ware, the soul singer and songwriter best known for penning Marvin Gaye's "I Want You."

Classy move.

Take a look at the video above to hear London wax about his dope style and the slideshow below for some of our favorite fashion moments from the star.
