'Married To Jonas,' 'Dorothy,' 'Anne Of Hollywood': E! Announces New Series

Jonas Brother, Wizard Of Oz And More Among E!'s New Shows

E! has a brand new TV lineup in development, and the Kardashians aren't involved, but a lot of scripts are!

While The Jonas Brothers are reportedly working on their own reality show, E! is zeroing in on the lives of Kevin and Danielle Jonas, EW exclusively reports. "Married to Jonas" (premieres Mon., Aug. 19 at 10 p.m. on E!) follows the couple as they attempt to have a "normal" marriage while dealing with the fame that comes with being -- and being married to -- the eldest Jonas brother.

“Danielle is living a true Cinderella story after marrying into pop royalty, partnering in Kevin’s larger-than-life career and becoming a ‘Jonas,’ a name synonymous with hit music and a worldwide fan base,” Lisa Berger, president of entertainment programming for E!, said. “The series presents a unique look at a young couple and their families from two entirely different worlds, one small town and one dealing with international fame, coming together as one and starting a whole new life together.”

Meanwhile, the network is headed in a new direction with its programming: Scripted shows!

"The slate rounds out the scope of the network in terms of what we’re offering and it elevates the quality perception of the network,” entertainment president Suzanne Kolb told The Hollywood Reporter.

"The question for us has been how do we tell unique and different stories in the scripted space that, frankly, we can't tell in the reality space," Berger adds. "If you can tell the story in the reality space, one could argue reality is more interesting than scripted."

Check out the descriptions of the upcoming E! slate below:

"Dorothy:" Inspired by the books "Dorothy" and "The Wizard Of Oz," "Dorothy" centers on the life of a girl who falls in love with a man and follows him to Emerald City to work at his Emerald Hotel.

"Amy Devlin Mysteries:"
Based on the graphic novel of the same name, "Amy Devlin Mysteries" tells the story of culturally-obsessed detective in her late 20s who brings her own point of view to police work.

"Anne Of Hollywood:"
This modern spin on the story of Anne Boleyn holds on to the elements of sex, scandal, infidelity and betrayal, but set in present-day Hollywood.

"Fascination Street:" Split between past and present, this series centers on the lives of two brothers as they look back at their struggle to make their band a success and focus on finding out who is behind the disappearance of their band's lead singer.

"The 400s" Set in 1890s New York, "The 400s" is about the classy lives of the Vanderbilt family when "society" was determined by how many people could fit into the wealthy Mrs. Astor's ballroom.

"Juror #9:" After accidentally killing a woman who has been blackmailing him in this legal drama, the seemingly good-hearted Alex Dunbar might not be quite as good a man as he appears.

"King David" A tale of a modern day Mr. Smith, this series will tell the story of a self-made billionaire who sleeps with lobbyists in the nation's capital.

"Untitled Assistants Project:" A group of young executive assistants are seemingly loyal minions, but they get into trouble while their high-powered bosses are out of the office.

"Upstarts:" This '90s "gold rush" tale tells the story of three men who work to strike it rich fueled by power, money, sex, and politics.

Though these projects are still in development, what do you think of E!'s new slate? Let us know in the comments.
