The First Lady will showcase the Second City to the spouses of visiting dignitaries during the NATO Summit in Chicago on May 20.
Michelle Obama has planned stops at the Gary Comer Youth Center on her native South Side, an extracurricular and educational center that offers cooking classes, fitness programs, tutoring and more.
While there, guests will be entertained with performances from youth's dance, music and theater groups, and treated to a private lunch cooked by participating students under the direction of star Chef Paul Kahan, according to the Associated Press.
Later on Sunday, the First Lady will host a private dinner for the NATO spouses at the Art Institute of Chicago, according to Crain's Chicago Business.
Before heading to the Midwest, Michelle Obama will lead the spouses of visiting G-8 guests on a tour of the White House Saturday led by curator Bill Allman while President Barack Obama confers with G-8 leaders at Camp David, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Both summits were initially scheduled to take place in Chicago, but the G-8 meeting was relocated in March amid security concerns.
