'30 Rock' Final Season: Season 7 Will Be The Last

Next Season Will Be The Last '30 Rock'

It's official: Season 7 of "30 Rock" will be its last, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

At the NBC upfronts presentation in New York on Monday, the network's chairman Robert Greenblatt confirmed that Tina Fey's Emmy-winning comedy will end after its upcoming 2012-2013 season with an hourlong series finale.

"We think the world of Tina Fey and think she's a comic genius," Greenblatt said, according to THR. "We hope she has a home at NBC for years to come."

Though there was a bit of back and forth about whether or not Season 7 would be the last for "30 Rock," the final season plan aligns with what series star Alec Baldwin has told the press and what "30 Rock" star/creator Tina Fey has hinted at. Both Baldwin and Fey are contracted through Season 7 and in early April 2012, Fey appeared on "The View" and said "the end of the show is visible on the horizon."

"30 Rock" airs Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
